Super 8 Vincennes

I reviewed previous comments on the room and, despite the negativity, decided to stay overnight. My family and I only needed the room from about 11 PM to 9 AM, so "How bad could it be, really?"..... Pretty bad. The pool was an oversized hot tub. Our microwave did not work, and no attempt was made to fix it. I used a neighbor's, luckily. The walls were paper thin, a quite evening was out of the question. The "Breakfast Bar" was two or three generic boxed cereals with a pitcher of milk which sat on the counter from about 6 to 9 am when we left. Oh, and the so-called "house-keeping" staff knocked on our door at least five times before 10, and even came INTO our room while we were sleeping! Unless trying to meet someone you're not trying to impress, or if you consider clean, comfortable relaxation a luxury only celebrities can afford....I suggest putting up an extra 30 bucks and staying somewhere nicer...

The hotel was a good for the price we paid. The sign out front wasn't lit up because they had a breaker blow so it was somewhat difficult to find at first. But the service was good, the room was comfortable, and there were restraunts and stores within walking distance. Its not a 5star hotel, but it is a great hotel for the price. We got in at 10pm and left at 8am, so it worked well for us!
