Hotel Features. Today, the restored Queen Anne Hotel reflects a blend of turn-of-the-century grace and elegance coupled with comfort and warm service. This four-story architectural treasure has an elevator, but does not offer air conditioning. Complimentary amenities include weekday courtesy car service to the downtown area, continental breakfasts, newspapers and 24-hour concierge service. Guests receive discounted access to a nearby health club and can also explore the wonders of San Francisco on the nearby biking and hiking trails.
Guestrooms. The Queen Anne Hotel has 48 guestrooms that feature Victorian heirloom antiques, private bathrooms and telephones with fax and modem capabilities. Large windows open to invite fresh breezes and ambient light into the rooms. Select rooms feature romantic wood-burning fireplaces.
Expert Tip. Built in 1890 by silver baron Senator James Fair, the Queen Anne Hotel was originally an etiquette school for girls. According to legend, it is still haunted by the ghost of Mary Lake, who was the school's superintendent and mistress of Senator Fair.
