    This hotel, while maybe not as new as others makes up for any shortcomings with it's location and terrific service. Everyone working there was warm and friendly, and clearly took pride in their jobs and the facility. In addition it's RIGHT at the beach, and has a great little breakfast.

    I did not expected too much but the hotel room is very roomy and there are two TV sets in a room. Furthermore, the beach is in an accessible distance.

The Rio Sands Motel is centrally located on the Monterey Bay, eight miles south of Santa Cruz, in a small beach area known as Rio Del Mar in Aptos, Calif. The Rio Sands Motel is one block from Rio Del Mar Beach with over 20 miles of uninterrupted sandy beach.
