Description
See more detailsIn San Francisco, Calif., the West Coast birthplace of the bed & breakfast, lies the elegant Edward II Inn & Suites. The inn is located only blocks from San Francisco's yacht harbor. Within walking distance or in very close proximity to the Edward II Inn are attractions that make San Francisco a fabulous destination for work or play. The Presidio, Cow Hollow shopping area and the Palace of Fine Arts are just a five-minute walk from the property, with Fisherman's Wharf, Fillmore Theatre and the Golden Gate Bridge all nearby.
The Edward II was originally built to house guests attending San Francisco's Panama Pacific International Expo in 1915. This three-story European-style inn is comfortably appointed in traditional English décor with all the modern amenities.
With 25 rooms, the inn has accommodations to suit every need or desire. A complimentary continental breakfast is provided to guests, including fresh-baked muffins or croissants, fresh-squeezed orange juice and gourmet coffee. Complimentary sherry is served in the evenings. The Edward II Inn is also home to Bloomer's Pub (open seasonally), which features an international selection of beers and ales, as well as California wines by the glass or bottle.
Each room has cable television and a telephone. Most suites have a Jacuzzi tub and an electric fireplace, and some have kitchens or refrigerators.
With plenty of fine dining and unique shopping options close by, along with numerous public transportation options, the Edward II Inn's charming and convenient accommodations are the perfect place to stay in San Francisco.
