    This appears to have been once a large and very nice resort (or at least planned to be one), but I don't think tourism has ever taken off on the island, and as a result the place really hasn't been kept up. That being said, our room was very nice, as was the location on the beach on a secluded part of the island, but it isn't for someone looking for (any) restaurants or nightlife right at the hotel.

Cancellation Policy:

Any cancellation made within 72 hours of arrival for stays January 5–March 31 will be assessed a two (2) nights cancellation charge

Any cancellation made within 72 hours of arrival for stays April 1–December 22 will be assessed a one (1) night cancellation charge.

Any cancellation made within 30 days of arrival for stays December 23–January 4 will be assessed a two (2) nights cancellations charge.
