    The hotel is located on the Gulf and and be viewed, at least partly, by many of the rooms here. The service was just okay and when calling the desk i found I was talking to another hotel! They own about 5 locations on the Island and it gets a little confusing. If your looking for a quite beach with millions of shells to look thru and beautiful sunrises and sunsets then come to Sanibel. For the $$$ this place is as good as you may find.

Location. Nature nestles up to the sea at the Sanibel Inn on Sanibel Island in Florida. The hotel is seven miles from the National Wildlife Refuge and five miles from the Sanibel Lighthouse. Edison Mall, a large shopping attraction, is 19 miles from the hotel. Southwest Florida Regional Airport is also 19 miles from the hotel.

Hotel Features. Centered in an oasis of natural gardens full of indigenous flowers and framed by the Gulf of Mexico the smoke-free Sanibel Inn is a nature enthusiasts paradise. An outdoor pool with a poolside bar is available. The hotel features 23 miles of paved hiking and bike paths and offers 200 rare species of shells along its private beach. Bicycle, kayak and jogging-stroller rentals are complimentary. Nature and children's activities, and a fitness center are available on site.

Guestrooms. Guestroom decor at the Sanibel Inn vary by residence. There are 68 guestrooms and 26 suites available that offer balcony views with windows that open and kitchenettes. Internet access is available for a fee. Complimentary toiletries are also available.

Expert Tip. Thrill-seekers can take advantage of the special privileges at the Sundial Beach and Golf Resort just down the road and explore the Gulf with a sailboat or windsurfer.
