    I reserved and paid for a King bed room. When I arrived, I asked the gal at the front counter if they had enough rooms to upgrade me to a higher floor. She didn't even pretend to check the computer and told me "no." When I got to my room it had a Queen bed. I called down and she told me it'd be an hour before they could get a King room ready. At that point I was planning on being out for the night and didn't want a bell-hop moving my stuff for me without my being there (laptop, etc.), so I blew it off. I asked the valet attendant how busy they were and he told he "dead." I figured, and when I got back that night I let the girl know behind the counter (in front of her manager) that I was NOT pleased. The manager offered to upgrade my room, but I told them it was too late at that point. The net-net is that the rooms are OK, the hotel is OK, but there are better hotels in the city where the hotel crew will bend over to make you happy right now (the economy being what it is). This Westin won't be getting my business again.

Location. The Westin San Francisco Market Street is located in the South of Market district in San Francisco, Calif. This property stands across from the Yerba Buena Gardens, and one block from the Museum of Modern Art and the Moscone Convention Center. The hotel provides complimentary weekday morning transportation to the Financial District, located two blocks away.

Hotel Features. The on-site Ducca restaurant serves southern Italian cuisine in the dining room or al fresco on the hotel's open terrace. Wireless Internet access is available in the hotel's lobby for a fee. A business center houses six computer terminals and offers fax, scan, print and photocopy services. The 24-hour fitness center and health club features Westin Workout Powered by Reebok equipment. Plasma-screen televisions are attached to each cardiovascular machine, and the center offers chilled water, towels and courtesy headsets.
