Best Western Music Row - Near Vanderbilt / Downtown
I booked two rooms at this hotel for a co-worker and myself. There were cable wires visible all over the walls in the lobby. The Rooms (both his and mine) had no desk to work on. The television was basic local cable (not many extended channels). The room smelled like mold and fungus which was disgusting. There was mold in the caulking in the bathroom. While the location was great cleanliness is more important. Right in the heart of downtown 10 blocks from all the nightlife. However nightlife did not matter to me as a business traveler. There were not many food choices close by. A Mcdonald's across the interstate and a Japanese restaurant & a bar across the street. Bottom line is if I were single and needed a cheap place to stay this would be it. However spend $20.00-$30.00 more per night and stay somewhere cleaner with more local food choices. I will not stay here again. This place could mop up if they raised there prices slightly ($20.00 a night) and updated & cleaned up the entire hotel....More
