Zulu Nyala Game & Heritage Safari Lodge
We had many issues with this hotel. There appeared to be nicer rooms, but they put us in the very worst possible -- not ones shown in the pictures -- in spite of the fact that there were very few other guests in the hotel. Our air conditioner leaked, the floors were so dirty that our socks were filthy after having walked on them, the sheets were worn and spotted, the room smelled like moth balls, the door lock was broken, the front desk people were rude. Mostly importantly, however, the deal you gave us -- one free game drive per day with the room -- was not honored. We were told we were only entitled to one game drive for the entire stay. Therefore, we expect some sort of reimbursement for this, since the game drives were supposed to be the highlight of our stay. With better maintenance and service, this could be a very nice hotel since the location is outstanding. The Commodore V&A Waterfront
Clean rooms, great location, but hotel does not keep iron or internet cable in rooms, makes it a hassle to do these activities- especially if on a long stay. The staff did not replace toilet paper for 3 days so eventually ran out. Nothing too major but inconsistant with the rating. Breakfast buffet was good....More

Airport Grand Hotel and Conference Center
Be sure to have the loal phone number in case you need to call the shuttle. The shuttle does not operate after 2200 and a taxi to the Airport Grand costs about 150 rand which is about $25.00 US. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The prices are quite reasonable and the property is about 4 blooks away from a very nice mall which is convenient during long layovers. I've even had time to catch a movie or two during longer layovers there....More
