    Brookes Hill Suites
    Hotel is a standard three star hotel. No air in our room but wasn't needed in september.(ceiling fans). Good location and view of the water. Only real minus was there was no one to take bags to room on second floor. Staff otherwise was very helpful. Rooms were clean and very large....More

    Don Johannesburg Airport
    This was my 4th trip to South Africa in a year and normally get in earlier and drive to Witbank, on our way to Kruger Park. We arrived shortly after midnight and called for their shuttle (Had emailed weeks earlier and requested pickup) Not available. Took shuttle for about $12.00. Did receive one of the quieter rooms not facing the freeway. Luckily didn't need air-conditioner, they all were being replaced. Breakfast was not included (1st ever hotel in Africa that we have encountered it not included)and we were not aware of, R195 for the 2 of us. On top of that, we were charged R4.95 for tourist tax (another 1st) and the front desk couldn't change a R50....More
