Best Western Emerald Beach Resort
Being close to airport, price that we paid, one would think a shuttle to and from airport would be available, at a minimum. The owner was very friendly, and did a great job with his happy hour, on the deck by the beach. I would pick his other property, if available. This was a last minute reservation and served my purpose....More

Divi Carina Bay Resort & Casino
I'm a business traveler so I was not actually at the hotel that much but the room was delightful and comforting with bamboo wood floors and bright decor contrasted with deep blue sparkling countertops. The one meal I had there (breakfast) was very satisfying. If you are a runner, there is an excellent, but moderately challenging trail that starts at a gravel entrance near Point Udall that takes you down to Jack and Isaacs Bay preserves. You run along the beach, as well as land trails and can go up to Goat Hill. Jacks bay is a gorgeous little private spot. At the end of Grapetree Bay there is a residential street, but I am not sure where that goes out to so if you park at Point Udall, it is best just to backtrack. There are not many beach chairs but I did not need one. With the exception of an asst mgr who was very helpful with running trail tips and very outgoing, the service was not very inviting. However, this is not unusual for hotels on St. Croix because I have stayed at others and that has been the main problem. Most hotel workers I've encountered there just do not seem to enjoy their job. The cleaning staff were the nicest. The second biggest problem is food and wait service at hotels on the Island. I recommend exploring the Island for offsite restaurants. There are many good ones....More

Bluebeards Castle
Arrived late in the evening and was dazzled by the view of the harbor, room was clean and orderly. Next morning went just fine but upon returning to the room that evening found the room as I left it, no maid service. Second morning there was NO water, not a drop. They had not maintained the hotel's sistern. The most unplesent day followed....More
