CONRAD PUNTA DEL ESTE RESORT
The Conrad Punta del Este is a great place to stay for those who want to relax by day and go out all night. The pool is amazing - with it's view overlooking both the wild and calm side of the water and a great view of the port. It's close enough to the port to take a quick cab to restaurants and hot spots for night. Many of the rooms are ocean view, and the best part was waking up and having breakfast on the balcony. The view was the pool, ocean, port and a large cruise ship in the distance. Perfect! As is the standard in S. American hotels, the service is not the standard that you may be used to. They do not have the waiters who are constantly taking your drink order poolside, but there is a nice bar there for you to put in your order and have it delivered to you. This is nothing bad about the Conrad, it is a comment in general about the expectations you should have when traveling to S. America. Overall, this is a great hotel with the best views of Punta del Este. I highly recommend it!...More

My room was comfotable The hotelis located in a resdential area. The street was a bit noisy at times, but not too bad. The room h a small kitchenette, refrig, and sink. You plugged your key into the wall to turn on the power, so you needed to reset the clock every time you entered the room.
