Nothing can beat the beautiful location of the Serena Inn. The pool side is literally 10 feet from the sea, and virtually all the rooms have large balconies with hammocks and chairs. Moevenpick Royal Palm Hotel
We stayed in this hotel on three different occasions during our trip to Tanzania. It was an excellent break from our travels in country. The hotel is very clean, our room was comfortable and quiet and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel grounds are very pleasing, with a large lawn area and swimming pool. The food was quite good. We would definitely stay here again....More

New Africa Hotel
The room was decent, but what stood out were the location (perfect!), the staff (incredibly friendly!) and the Bandari restaurant in the hotel which served brilliant food! There's also a good Thai restaurant on the 9th floor that has a great view of the harbour. The room rates are a bit steep but it's certainly good value for what you pay....More
