    Sultanhan Hotel
    On a quiet street in the old city very close to excellent Istanbul tram line. Ten-minute walk to Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar and other major old city sites. The hotel staff were uniformly friendly and helpful, the room clean, quiet, and well appointed. The hotel has a Turkish Bath, sauna, and massage service, all very reasonably priced, which we would recommend to foot-weary tourists. Also has a rooftop restaurant with an excellent view, but we did not eat there. All in all, we were very pleased with the hotel and thought it good value given its excellent location--wouldn't hesitate to recommend it....More

    AMIRAL PALACE HOTEL
    Superb location near key tourist sites (Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque); helpful staff. However, my room--and I should note that I was travelling alone and had a single room--was somewhat depressing. It was clean, well-tended, and reasonable for the money, but not a space that I looked forward to spending time in....More
