    Sarnic Hotel
This hotel is close to the Blue mosque,Hagia Sophia and Topkapi palace. It has a nice rooftop breakfast and bar site with views of the Bosphorus. The staff were very helpful with airport transfers in the hotel van, restaurant and tour referrals and airline confirmations. If you don`t speak fluent Turkish this sort of honest hospitality is invaluable. The hotel is built over a Byzantine cistern and is a historic site itself. My mattress was harder than I like, but I have no other quibbles....More

    Tash Konak
The Tash Konak is the perfect place to stay in Istanbul. Not too expensive, situated near the very center of old Istanbul near the blue mosque. Nice rooms, included breakfast (with a nice view), internet, and a very helpful staff. My only complaints are that it is a little hard to find and that you are expected to leave your key at the reception when you leave (so the staff can clean). For those that commented about the Adhan (call to prayers) being loud in the morning I have two remarks. First, the mosque across the street is the one that blares the Adhan directly into some of the rooms (it wasn't too bad from my room) not the blue mosque. Second, in old Istanbul (and Istanbul in general) you WILL hear the Adhan, no matter where you are, probably from multiple directions....More

    Best Western Acropol Hotel
The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was very nice. Two minor complaints - it was very hot in Istanbul when we were there and the air conditioning was not always adequate and since we were there for 6 days we would have liked to have a place to sit and read in our room - other than the bed....More
