    Shangri-La Hotel Chiang Mai
This Shangri-La did not exceed my expectations since, having stayed in many Shangri-La's before, my expectations were already very high: a superb hotel chain. Great location, close to night market. Lovely pool which, in downtown Chiang Mai, is not very common. Absolutely recommended...More

Hotel is busy and crowded at check in. Room was unappealing with tile floors and platform bed. Room was fair as to cleanliness but awoke to several humndred ants crawling all over my stuff including inside of my computer. People were helpfull and friendly as they are in Thailand - but could not overcome deficiencies in hotel. They did move me to a better room after the insect incident.Would not return....More
