Comfort Suites Turks & Caicos Islands
This hotel was perfect for us. We wanted a place that was close to the beach and yet reasonably priced since we knew we would spend very little time in our room. The beach was about a 2 minute walk away and there's a mini-convenience store just outside the hotel (along with shops and a couple of bar/restaurants). The only negative (which is minor) is that the electricity was operated by your hotel key. Once you left the room, all electricity went off (including the mini-fridge). However, the AC stayed on (they ask you to turn it down to conserve energy, which is what we did when we left the room). The front desk staff was not overly friendly, but they helped answer any questions we had. Watson, the bartender, has great tips, so be sure to talk with him if you get a chance! Overall, we had a pleasant experience at the Comfort Suites....More

    The Somerset on Grace Bay
My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights and found it to be very relaxing. The property is only a year old and very well maintained. We stayed in a garden view duplex. The room is immaculate and fitted with high end Viking Professional appliances and Kohler water fixtures. The infinity pool truly is lovely and the beach is just amazing. White sand and turquise waters. Pictures don't do it justice. The food is not cheap but did enjoy the fresh fish at O'Soliel. The food at the pool bar was mediocre and service is on island time - as to be expected. The hotel is located pretty centrally so it's easy to walk to other resorts to eat. It's a small property- 55 rooms - so it is relatively quiet and extremely relaxing!...More

    Ocean Club Resort
We stayed at The Ocean Club Resort with our 6 year old daughter. This resort has everything you need without being swanky. It is clean and very pretty. The accomodations are not luxurious. We had a kitchenette which had a large refrigerator and all other basics. We enjoyed a large screened balcony that luckily picked up the free wireless internet connection from the front desk area. Don't count on that unless you get our room! They do have four free internet computers at the business center and wireless service by the pools. At the resort are two nice restaurants (one very expensive) and a convenience store for milk, cereal, snacks, soda and juice etc. The beach and pools have rafts, floats and beach toys, great for kids. You may want to bring your own sand shovels and bucket, but there is one set there. Don't forget snorkel masks! The beach is amazing and the pools are beautiful. One pool is great for kids, it is large and only 3 feet to 4 feet deep. You can take the free shuttle to Ocean Club West and enjoy all their similar amenities and then easily walk to shops and restaurants on Grace Bay Rd. We preferred Ocean Club East to the West because of the layout of the beachside dining. At East the Cabana Grill is almost on the beach, at West the restaurant is back further from the beach. It also seems quieter at East. Keep in mind there is a lot of construction next to West right now...the new Seven Stars Resort. The O.C. East is at the end of Grace Beach and every morning and some days we had the beach to ourselves. Don't be afraid to rent a car for one day to go to the grocery store, the shuttle to the store is $25 and a cab is more! Driving on the left scares lots of people, but it really wasn't bad at all. We would go back to Ocean Club in a minute....More
