and I'm reluctant to give away my best kept secret of the carribean... the Carribean Parridise Inn in Grace Bay Provo.. Without spending too much time here, I just want to say.... WOW! Great location, Price, and I cannot say enough to complement Jean Luc and his staff... Beverly, with her "Can Do!" attitude, was a blessing as she caterred to our every wish; Chairs for the beach, Breakfast in the garden every morning, directions, towells etc... very pleasant... It was my parent's 52nd anniversary and we wanted to do something special. Jean Luc recommended that we go to the Mango Reef Cafe (one block over) and speak to his good friend and head chef Florrent. What a find... Florrent was able to make a special dinner and cake for this wonderful event. We ate there almost every night... The restaurant exceptional. The food, atmostphere and service a certain value. Allen was our waiter and a great one as everyone on this island bent over backwards to make it all so good. Other things you must do: -Visit stacy at the Flamingo on Grace Bay Beach for her pan seared grouper for lunch while on beach. Rum punchs were great. -Go to the Konk Shack in Blue Hills. Oder the Konk Fritters. See JD for a konck lesson and the Konk pistol thing (natural viagra thing)... don't ask...He's a crazy canadian. -Rent a car (Not at Hertz: hertz was the only negative encounter our whole week) I was a gold member and they would not work with me for a larger car for my 5 family members. Perhaps the standard was set too high. (go with Avis or local) -Spend at least a week......More

The Somerset on Grace Bay
Our experience at the Somerset was amazing--from the time we arrived at the resort, until we left 6 days later. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The rooms and grounds are simply spectacular...not to mention being located on the most beautiful beach in the world--Grace Bay! Clean, well-kept value hotel with HDTV in room, clean pool, free internet in lobby, Grace Bay beach is about 200 meters away, an easy and safe walk. There is no resturaunt on site, and the complementary continental breakfast is lame, but a couple of places next to the hotel serve decent food....More
