The Regent Palms
We stayed at the Regent Palms to celebrate two special occassions. Upon arrival at the airport we were immediately greeted by a very friendly representative who tagged our luggage and showed us to the taxi so that we didn't waste a moment. We were greeted in equally friendly and efficient fashion upon arrival at the hotel and quickly brought to our room. You can truly be on the beach in less than an hour upon arrival at the airport! My husband and I found the property and grounds to be elegent but relaxed. True workmanship has gone into the building rather than the prefab look of many of the surrounding hotels. We reserved the luxury garden view room...our bedroom was beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable...the beach just a stone's throw away. Regent Palms staff were lovely. When they found out we were celebrating, they had some delectable cakes sent to the room on each of our special dates. In addition to the great people in guest relations, the beach staff is always on hand to set up your cabana (and I supposed the equivalent at the beautiful pool, which we never used), spritz you off under the hot sun, wash the sand off your feet upon leaving the beach, etc...these details are wonderful!! Concierge is also very helpful! Our only complaint was the food, which seems to be consistent with many other reviews out there (we had hoped that would have been dealt with by the time of our trip). We had planned to eat the majority of our meals on the property primarily because we traveled so often over the year, we just wanted to stay put. With the exception of the desserts, which were really very good, the food was extremely dissapointing. Having said that, this is a superb property with fabulous staff on a stunning beach. We would return in a heartbeat !...More

Caribbean Paradise Inn
I really liked this place. It was well maintained and the courtyard and pool have a nice garden setting. The plants and trees add a great deal of privacy from your balcony and while at the pool. I did not eat there but heard great things from locals about the restaraunt. It's not on the beach but it's just a short walk away. Great place for the price....More
