    Hotel Kyjev
    As advertised, this is an old hotel with a great location. The location -- just a few minute walk from the historic city center -- is the real selling point for this property. The rooms smell of smoke, the carpet is old and dirty, the sheets and linens had holes in them and the beautiful view of the city from the room is obscured by a giant cell phone add that covers an entire side of the building. One morning, we woke up to a sewage smell in our room. All that said, if you're looking for nothing more than a bed close to the action at a reasonable rate, this will serve that purpose, though there are hostels available that would probably be cheaper and offer the same level of service. The breakfast buffet indeed was outstanding and was the high-point of our stay....More

    Hotel Marrol's
    This hotel is a gem - one of the World's Best Small Hotels. Our room was exceptionally well appointed, and in room FREE internet was a bonus. We ate dinner in the hotel, complete with silver domed entrees served by a white gloved waiter. Breakfast was equally sumptous, with Hungarian sparkling wine to make Mimosas on Saturday. We were in Bratislava only as a stopover, but this hotel was well worth the stay....More
