Goldkist Beach Resort
5 - 10 minutes in a taxi from the airport. That was a great first impression to me. The outdoor lobby was great and the staff was friendly and professional. My first room wasn't great the AC didn't work and needed painting. My 2nd room made up for it everything worked. The only draw back is there is no housekeeping service. You will have to leave your key at the front desk so you can get housekeeping which starts at 4pm....More

Royal Plaza On Scotts - A Summit Hotel
The location of this hotel cannot be beat: it's just off of Orchard road shops and MRT; only steps away from excellent shopping and dining. Given that the rooms are comfortable and clean, at the right price, this is definitely a good place to stay. However, I would not consider it a 4.5 star property. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and provide basic amenities (such as internet and minibar), but nothing luxurious. The rooms are small (and I got a complementary upgrade!), as is the bathroom, which has only a shower and no bath tub (no bath robes either). Very limited options on the minibar, few TV channels and no 'extra' touches (such as DVD player/fruits/etc) that would be expected of an upscale hotel. The worst part was probably the view - a parking lot! The service was excellent and worthy of 4.5-stars....More
