Rin Grand Hotel
The hotel is located in South Bucharest with little public transportation to the centre. The taxi ride is not expensive, a few dollars depending on which type taxi is chosen, but the travel time can take as much as 30 minutes during rush hour. The hotel has a casino and even though my room was on a non-smoking floor there was smoke evident on the floor and through out the hotel. It is a large hotel with lots of meetings, and the lobby is usually full of people. It is located next to a large Carefour Supermarket. If one has a car this would be a better location. I moved to a different hotel, Crown Plaza, and found it to be a better experience. I checked out the Hilton because of the history but found it to be a nice hotel but nothing special. The Marriott is the best hotel and priced accordingly. If you are a first time visitor to Bucharest I recommend a two night stay and then you can decide about future visits. The city lacks the charm of Prague, Krakow, Budapest, and the Western European Cities....More

Hotel Monte-Nelly
We rented two rooms at the Monte-Nelly. The one through hotels.com was adequate. The other was outstanding, and we got the better rate on the bigger room. Both included breakfast, which was in a lovely room - except that the temperate always seemed to be set at about 90 (35) degrees. The entire hotel, include the lounge area was the same, but eventually, I learned which window could be opened to get air. The smaller room didn't have a stronger enough air conditioner to counter balance the rest of the building. If you enjoy sleeping in cool temps - this may not be the place for you....More

Confort Traian Hotel
Hotel was great, they had free wireless at the lobby and wired internet in the rooms. However, the surrounding region was a little sketchy, especially to walk in the night....More
