    Hotel Monte-Nelly
We rented two rooms at the Monte-Nelly. The one through hotels.com was adequate. The other was outstanding, and we got the better rate on the bigger room. Both included breakfast, which was in a lovely room - except that the temperate always seemed to be set at about 90 (35) degrees. The entire hotel, include the lounge area was the same, but eventually, I learned which window could be opened to get air. The smaller room didn't have a stronger enough air conditioner to counter balance the rest of the building. If you enjoy sleeping in cool temps - this may not be the place for you....More

    Rembrandt Hotel
Very clean hotel with large bathroom. I arrived early (about 7am)in the morning but check-in was not until 2pm. The gracious staff offered me breakfast & when I finished eating, a room became available. I would advise any business traveller or vacationer to stay @ this Dutch-designed hotel....More

    Novotel Bucharest City Centre
Things are very expensive in Bucharest on a whole. I have stayed at a couple of other places in Bucharest before. The room was reasonably clean, obvious overpricing on the mini-bar items. The bathroom design initially looked nice, but the shower doors and tiles leaked, leaving a huge puddle to mop up every time I used it. The tub shower attachment as well sprayed water everywhere, and the sink though nifty in design look was not very functional. I noticed this is a business hotel, and though I didn't check it out on late Friday or Saturday nights, the recreation room though nice seemed to be primarily a ghost town. I found it sort of weird to have the toilet in a different room than the sinks/shower in the rooms. Meant having to travel from one room to the other to wash up after.... Some issues with the AC in the rooms. Had to point the "fan" directly on me to sleep at night. The staff was generally friendly, and willing to help out with things on a positive note (best thing I think there). The hotel parking was overpriced (60Lei/24hr) though probably typical for the city. It wasn't affilitated directly with the hotel, and had to be charged to the room from the front desk. The breakfast buffet was nothing to write home about either. though there were a variety of things to eat, most of the cooked items were overcooked, dry. Overall, I'd give this place a 2.5 out of 5 stars. It will have problems as it gets a bit older too. I'd tentatively recommend it to others simply because of its location in the city center and is 1/2 the cost of the Radison one block away....More
