Airai View Hotel Palau
I greatly enjoyed my stay at Airai View. The customer service is top notch! The food at their restaurant is good and they offer a shuttle into town for only a couple bucks round trip! Much better than a taxi! They are very accommodating to all requests, and I fell in love with this hotel.
Yes, it could use a facelift in a number of areas, and it is "far away" (according to the locals) from the center of Koror (really only a 15 minute drive), but I found that being there was quite peaceful. They have spacious rooms, and an excellent pool/water park area.
Overall, I would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel. I got pretty sunburned on my first day in Palau, and ended up sticking around the hotel for the second day for "downtime" and still found quite a bit to do! :D If you're on the fence of whether to stay at Airai View or one of the more expensive resorts, save your money. Stay at Airai & use that saved money on tours around Palau! It's worth it... believe me!...More

Airai View Hotel Palau
This hotel may have been grand in its day but it has fallen behind in its maintenance. Although the service and the food was good, the bathrooms need to be updated and an elevator needs to be installed. There are 83 steps from the third floor to the pool. Although there are two large pools and two water slides, the wood steps, railing and surrounds are in dire need of repair. There were only two usable pool chairs, the others were in disrepair. There is also no computer service available. I found the hotel to be greatly overpriced for Palau....More

Airai View Hotel Palau
This hotel is strictly for asian tourists, all the food and TV, even the shower controls are like you'd find in Japan or Korea. The staff was helpful, but even the map they gave me was in Japanese!...More
