Melia Lima
Just got back from a 3 day visit to the Hotel Melia. The staff is friendly, the room was fairly modern and all appliances worked fine. The room had both 110V and 220V outlets and an in-room safe. I asked about the drinkability of the tap water, and while they said it was indeed filtered, the front desk humbly suggested I proceed with caution. Anyway, I ended up getting tired of buying bottled water and drank the hotel's tap water with no deleterious side effects. Overall the staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is not walking distance to anything newsworthy, but if nothing else its a very safe neighborhood. Avoid rooms on the front of the building, because people in Lima loving honking their horns and those rooms are loud. Stay on the other side and all will be fine....More
