    Bastion Hotel Schiphol/ Hoofddorp
    Although a bit further from the airport (a 15 to 20 minute ride with a most satisfactory shuttle service), the hotel is clean and comfortable and quiet. I had my 88 year-old mother with me on the last night of a 2 week tour of London, Paris and Amsterdam. We needed a room at the airport the night before an early morning departure. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful. After reading some of the other reveiws, I was not expecting the quality of accomodation that I received. The room was roomier than many in London, Paris and Amsterdam. The private bathroom was very spacious by European terms and the beds were comfortable. I really can't think of any adverse qualities about the stay. I will definitely stay here again if I need airlort accomodations in Amsterdam or any surrounding locations....More

    Hampshire Golfhotel Waterland
    This hotel is very remotely located and has nothing special to offer EXCEPT a golf course (no gym, no sauna, etc). The hallway carpets are stained and there is a bathroom-like smell near the elevators. Breakfast is NOT included in Hotels.com prices (and for $20+ extra, it is not worth it). Problem is, there is nothing else anywhere near the hotel for food. The hotel restaurant/bar area appears nice, although we did not eat there. Not recommended for people planning to spend time in the city. Staff were friendly....More
