Hotel Camino Real Managua
Rooms were fine, standard room, nothing too special. Clean, tiled, quiet room and had a good A/C. The pool area was somewhat crowded - really loud music as well, which didnt really bother us as we were only out there for an hour or so. Shuttle was efficient to the airport which was the main reason we were there. The casino attached was smoky, had enough slots, and a couple of tables. Blackjack dealers mostly only spoke in spanish, which wasnt that big of a deal. The restaurant (casablanca) was reasonable - more expensive than the rest of Nicaragua, but the food was good enough. We didnt catch a taxi into town as we didnt feel it was worth 12 bucks each way. Beers by the pool were $2.50, while in the casino, they were $1. Not much around the hotel, just the highway, and it didnt look like anything was along it (other than housing/industrial building). Overall, worked great for a morning flight, we caught the first shuttle at 5 am (ran every 30 min after that in the morning). Reasonable priced and decent pool...nice grounds....More
