The hotel experience is one similar of being in France. The hotel was clean and the majority of the equipment was working. Our phone never worked. Our room came with an outdoor kitchen which worked well for our group. Our friends kitchen lock was gone and so was the majority of the kitchen equipment. The staff tried to assist with problems the best they could working with my family who spoke little French. The thing to keep in mind is that this is a nice Hotel for the area. Prices are high for the Hotel and food compared to what we would expect to find in the US. We also visited during Carnaval which meant more people and traffic volume. We were surpised to find the the set times for breakfast were roughly 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM, Lunch 12:00 to 2:00 PM and dinner from 7:30 to 10:00 PM. We did find a McDonalds that was open all the time though. All in all we had a more positive experience than negative one and if you would visit Martinique this would be worth considering....More

This hotel was clean but not fancy and had a/c. There are adequate kitchenettes if you like to prepare some of your meals. The pools were small but clean and never crowded. The beach area was really nice, but the beaches here are not the long stretches of beach we often see in the U.S. Rather, they are shorter beaches, with lots of trees. Quite pretty. Neither the hotel or the island itself caters to Americans. No tours in English, no hotel shows in English and not even a television station in English. This was very frustrating because once you are off the beach, you need to have something else to do.
The staff spoke very limited English, but were always eager to try to satisfy. It also did not seem to matter to the hotel that the one public internet terminal there did not work at the time. There were three restaurants on the grounds of the hotel and I went to two of them. They were decent, but nothing to write home about. I would recommend this hotel, but I think that you really need to know some French, even if just a little....More
