    Mediterranea Hotel & Suites
Mediterranea is brilliantly diguised as part of the Howard Johnson chain. Although the location is slightly away from the center of town where the restaurants and bars are located, it's close enough. A short 5 minute walk will take you to most places you will need. My room was well furnished with a fridge and stove, and also a quaint little balcony. Overall the place is well maintained and the staff is actually friendly. The best part of this place is the large selection of breakfast which was included. In general this place has budget prices which does not represent the quality of the hotel. I would say it's a great place for anyone wanting someplace quiet yet well positioned in the tourist part of the island....More

    Hotel Bernard
Had a good time on the weekend, lots of people in the bars, very fun all night. Once the week started the noise was still present 'til 4 am but not much was happening. It is probably more consistent in the peak season. The beach nearby was great. Major construction was going on in the hotel. The pool was not functioning nor was the wi-fi. Plaster was falling from the bathroom ceiling. Maids worked hard to do the best they could and the staff were present and friendly but there wasn't much they could do to remedy the situation. Malta though is fun and absolutely gorgeous. You should go!...More
