    Los Patios Hotel
Cute enough hotel and convenient to beaches and town(catch bus to town right outside)but the beds are horrible. We happened to arrive just as spring break began and it was a zoo. The music, trash, slamming of doors all night long and with repeated calls to the front desk was told they coulnd not control them. Made repeated requests for ammenities that were supposed to be supplied-coffee, cups, chairs-and never received them. Really a shame because the property could be very cute and romantic but they catered to the wrong clientel....More

    Ceiba Del Mar Spa Resort
My husband and I came here after 5 days in Cancun for a business function at the JW Marriott...The Marriott was very nice, but this place was nirvana! We were very fortunate to get a room upgrade to a suite, so we participated in a sunset yoga class at the end of the pier while we waited. The instructor was very knowledgeable, it was a great way to decompress after the hustle bustle of Cancun. Our room could not have been better. We had the corner suite at the end of the building, a hammock and table with chairs on the balcony and a double futon next to our private jacuzzi on the lower deck. We were right on the beach, which was what you expect from this part of the Yucatan, white sugary sand that stays nice & cool even during the heat of the day, refreshing water in all colors of clear blue and green. The resort has palapa huts on the beach, wooden beach chairs with pads and towels for your use. There was never a problem getting a chair in the sun or shade. The grounds and the hotel were very well maintained, we often saw employees clearing trash that had blown on the beach, gardening and otherwise keeping the resort beautiful. Every staff member we encountered was kind and considerate. We ate in the restaurant on the beach for lunch & dinner, all of our meals were very good, if a little pricey. Though, the prices were lower than at the Marriott. We didn't have any spa services, but we used the spa to refresh after we checked out of our room, our shuttle to the airport wasn't until later in the afternoon. Everything was very clean and in good repair, again, the staff was very kind. We loved the coffee service in the AM slid through a pass through into a shelf in the closet, waiting for you whenever you decided it was time. We greatly enjoyed the huge fresh fruit plate that was in our room when we arrived, it had mangos, apples, oranges, grapes, baby bananas, guavas and strawberries, everything was rip, delicious and ready to eat. One morning on the ...More
