CROWN TOWERS MACAU
Crown Macau opens one month ago. Crown proclaimed itself as a "6 star hotel." I do not believe that it lives up to its billing. There were glitches such as TV repeatedly freezing, we have to call service about 8X over a three day period.
The Japanese restaurant was too expensive; we got charged HK$1600 for a dinner for three. The portion was very skimpy. No wonder, the restaurant had only a few customer. More restaurant employees than customer that night.
The smokes from cigarettes in the adjoining Crown casino triggered the fire alarm several times during the night; thus disturbing our sleep.
After I complain, the hotel offered a 20% discount on room rates. There was 10% service charge when we requested the concierge to book our ferry ride back to Hong Kong. This should have been a courtesy service expected on a "6 star" hotel.
I suggest an overhaul on their restaurant charges. if customer avoid the restaurant, an "empty" restaurant does no good to its employees and to its reputation. The concierge should not charge for their services; after all the hotel charge is expensive enough....More

Best Western Hotel Taipa-Macau
the room was comfortably to stay, clean and well kept ...
the breakfast was close to annoying: there was no variability in the choices (five days stay), tea was brought luke warm and heated up during the time it stayed on the plate; the personnel was moving loudly around with the carriages collecting dirty dishes or bringing clean one; you have more than once to put out to them about missing items like glasses, tea, jam etc....More

Best Western Hotel Taipa-Macau
Hotel is very nice and close to airport. Restraunt is excellent as well as wine bar. Nice breakfast and they had a casino. The only problem which was a big one.....the bed was so hard it was impossible to sleep. I actually thought I was sleeping on the box spring. Even tried the pillows from the futon....they were hard also. If you like a hard bed, you will love this place. Otherwise, I would suggest looking for another room elsewhere....More
