Shinta Mani Hotel
This outstanding hotel was one of the smaller hotels in Siem Reip. Quiet, excellent service. Gives a Japanese feel. Pretty pool area, massage on site. Excellent on-site restaurant. Convenient to town and to Angkor Wat. Wish we had scheduled more time there just to relax. Highly recommended....More

Monarch Angkor Hotel
The exterior of the hotel was good. It has an attractive landscaping. However, the lobby was open and it was extremely hot since there was no air conditioning and no walls.
The room has a small refrigerator but full of soda cans and other stuff sold by the hotels ot here was no room for our food. The A/C worked well at night but not during the day. The bed was horribly hard as there was no nattress but a box srping to sleep on. The toilet paper holder was broken so the toilet paper was placed on the top of the tank or near the faucet where it got wet.
The towels were of etremely poor quality- worn out and looked like rags.
The air conditioning does not work the moment you leave your room since the key is used to generate the power. It is one of those that you insert in the slot.
Since it was in the high 90's with almost 100 % humidity, it was torture when I got in as I have a lung problem which made breathing difficult.
Breakfast was austere if you are a Westerner- scrambled eggs with toast, margarine and strawberry jam,tea or coffee.
They had porridge which Americans are not used to. Other items were salted aggs, rice cakes and some salted vegetables that I am not familiar with.
Service was good. The staff was very friendly and hard working.
They have a good sized pool and bar which we did not use.
They cater to a lot of Koreans who are used to sleeping on hard surfaces. I need a mattress on top of the box spring for a comfortable sleep.
I cannot say enough for the staff as they were extremely friendly , nice and hard working....More

Angkor Century Resort & Spa
the room was fine-spacious and clean; however, the bed was way too hard, although some may like that. the bathrooms need to be updated and they seriously need to buy new towels. they were hard and scratchy. the staff was lovely...everyone extremely helpful and friendly. The pool was so cold I could not stay in it, but again some may like that. Location is fantastic, very easy to get anywhere.
Breakfast was not included in our price... part of why I thought too expensive....More
