    Hilton Nairobi
    Overall a very good experience. Hotel staff was very helpful in geting me checked in quickly and had a taxi waiting fo rme on my morning of departure as requested. Hotel interior a little dated but bed was very comfortable. Internet fees anr very expensive though....More

    Nyali Beach Hotel
    Upon first appraisal, the Nyali Beach Hotel seems pleasant enough; however, its flaws become apparent over time. The hotel is in serious need of an overall update/remodeling/modernization. My primary complaint was the air conditioning was not up to the task. It has great potential, but it needs new investment to make it a quality property. In its present condition, I will not stay there again or recommend anyone stay there....More

    Serena Beach Hotel and Spa
    I spent five nights at the Serena Beach Hotel and Spa in September 2009 and highly recommends it. The hotel is right on the beach and some rooms actually have an ocean view. The service is outstanding and there are numerous activities offered on a daily basis (boat rides, acquagym classes, etc). I particularly enjoyed the Maisha Spa located inside the hotel venue. If you are considering pampering and days on the beach as the main theme for your stay in Mombasa, this is the place to stay. If you want to get a feel of Mombasa and hang out with the locals, the hotel is quite far from the city center and taxis can be quite expensive -- don't even consider using the hotel taxis. Depending on the rate you get, you may not get free transportation from/to the airport and this can also add to your expenses. But once, you reach your room, you know that was money well spent....More
