    BREEZES MONTEGO BAY
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Entertainment and activities were fun. Hotel itself needs an update and not just more paint. Food has some interesting items but mostly just boring mass prepared food. Drinks were interesting but bartenders were extremely slow. Beach was small but okay except for the people pushing drugs or tours....More

    RIU Negril All Inclusive
We had a great time at this Hotel. The food was excellent, don't bother staying in line in the morning to get a reservation for the "fancy" restaurants. The steak house was not that good, Sir Andrews was OK. The no reservation buffett restaurant offers everything you want and is better then the others. Beach was great, water was warm and clean. We got a Taxi one day and went shopping in Negril, just to find out that the Hotel has the locals come in twice a week to sell the same stuff. Yes you pay a few bucks more, but you wont be hasseled. Also you can walk the beach and there will be little tents set up where you can buy the gifts for friends as well. For transportation, we booked with "Big Ship Tours". It cost us (wife and I) $120 roundtrip from Monetego Bay to Negril. I emailed Dudley, the owner of Big Ship Tours", he met us at the airport on time, our driver was on time to pick us up from the hotel. He even stopped and got us some Mangos on the way, great experience with Big Ship Tours! You don't need any Jamaican Dollars, US Dollar seems to be the only currency you need. Bring a ton of smaller bills (once and fives) for tipping. This was our first time in Jamaica and with RIU. We would go again and would recommend this hotel. It was a great vacation, the hotel offers everything you need. If you want to go snorkeling, etc. there are companies right next to the hotel that offer these services....More

Hilton Rose Hall Resort and Spa
After staying at Beaches Bascobel for 4 nights, we chose to stay our last night at the Hilton to be closer to the airport. We had hoped to find a hotel that offered similar activities for the kids and thought the Rose Hall Hilton would fit the bill. Upon arrival, we headed to the water park only to find more people than the amount of tubes to be provided. People would be sitting at the bar eating and drinking with tubes stacked on the side of the pool behind them. When we asked an employee where we could get tubes and were told to ask someone. As stupid as this sounds, we did, and received the expected response of "No". Since we were staying only 1 night, we opted not to get the all-inclusive package and was shocked to see the prices at the buffet restaurant (all other restaurants required elegant attire and were booked). Although I was only with my son, we traveled with my sister and her family of 6, so a $200 dinner bill was a bit steep, especially when a few of the kids were very light eaters. After explaining the situation to the manager, they were kind enough to offer my sister a discount for their meal. While the grounds were nice and the beach decent, the attitude of the employees around the water park to ensure guests had an equal chance to use it was a huge disappointment. It left me thinking that a later flight time and an additional night at Beaches Bascobel would have been better....More
