North Star Hotel
we liked this hotel. Staff was very friendly. The room came with an Air conditioner...but it didn't do anything. So we had to open the window to get the room cool (visited in july) and when we opened the window we would hear the train to mindnight then again at 6am. So if you visit on a cooler month you should be good but if you want to open the windows...you'll hear the trains....More

O'Callaghan Mont Clare
Great location, 10-15 minute walk from nearly all sights. AirCoach bus fm airport stops 100 meters from the hotel which is a plus. Breakfast locations can be found around the corner rather than the buffet at 16 euro. Windows double-paned to keep out noise....More

Carlton Castletroy Park Hotel
We chose this hotel because of its close proximity to the Univ. of Limerick, where our daughter is doing a semester with a Study Abroad Program. Our daughter's dorms were only a short walk away. Since this hotel has been taken over by the Carlton group, there have been some issues that were inherited from it's previous proprietor, I believe. The annoying issue was with the electronic door key-pass not working, requiring the concierge to let us in whenever we returned to our room. On the positive side, all the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and repeatedly apologetic for the aforementioned issue. The restaurant and pub served quality meals at reasonable prices (though a tad expensive). I did not have time to rate the excerecise room and pool, though the location appeared convenient. Parking is free with use of a parking garage located adjacent to hotel with validation by the front desk. Aside from the one issue, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. it tends to cater to the business oriented clientel, but casual travelers, looking for a quality hotel will not be dissappointed....More
