Please note that this hotel is located in a residential/embassy area--not in the heart of town. The exterior can fool you, as well, as it resembles a 60s style apartment building. That said, the lobby and rooms have been nicely remodeled by a knowledgeable contemporary decorator, the nearest metro stop is just a block or two away (so 5-10 minutes to the waterfront area) and the staff are extremely cordial and helpful....More

The hotel's sleak modern style is carried throughout. The room was very comfortable with a minor lighting issue. The art'otel has a very nice courtyard and 3 free computers to catch up on your emails. The location was great, a short walk to the Chain Bridge or up to Castle Hill. Behind the hotel is a wonderful little park adjacent to the national dance theatre and a church. The French Institute and restraunt are 2 blocks away and 2 very good Hungarian restraunts are one block away. I did not eat at the hotel because of the great food near and in Pest, also the hotel breakfast was extremely over priced. Enjoy your trip!...More
