This small, budget hotel is far from town and to get to the city, you must take a taxi (no bus option) for the 10-15 ride, which starts to add up. There are no elevators and my room was on the third floor (which is quite difficult when you have luggage!). The reception was very helpful, but there just wasn't a whole lot going on with this place. You have to pay a departure tax here when you leave, but it's not very much. There was AC in the room and the breakfast was sufficient. Your best bet in Split is to leave and go by ferry to some of the nearby islands: Brac and Hvar....MoreHotels.com guest on September-28

Arcotel Allegra Zagreb
Nice hotel but more geared for the business traveler. Location was poor, right across the street from the train station so it was loud. A little bit of a walk to the old town but not bad. Zagrab isn't the most pretty city and this neighborhood is typical. I would recommend you stay as close to the old town as possible and not here. Other than that my only compaint with the hotel was the water preasure in the shower was extremely poor....MoreHotels.com guest on June-05
