Castle Hotel Santa Fe
Many good qualities especially attentive staff, convenience to airport, and striking pool/ocean setting but major disappointment with the initial room we were assigned. There was evidence of considerable mold on the ceiling and odor presence. When we brought this to the attention of the front desk, they worked with us to find a more acceptable room.

Castle Hotel Santa Fe
I thought this hotel was behind the times. The hallway carpet and bedrooms were very dirty with big stains. The tile in the bathroom were very dirty, did not look like they clean the bathroom floors at all. You have to request for a wash cloth and the towels very thin. The outside was cleaner than the inside. I'm very disappointed in the rooms with double beds. The beds are twin size and very small......The view of ocean front is behind the big coconut trees. If I plan to travel again it would not be at that hote....More

Also, the beach associated with the hotel apparently doesn't "belong" to the hotel. There are a number of makeshift cabanas (two lounge chairs with an umbrella tied to them) and water "vehicles" in the ocean, but it costs $40 to use them! Especially with the hotel next door with waterslides, two pools, music and more, these water activities and facilities should be free to registered guests....More
