Electra Hotel
The Hotel Electra is located across from Syntagma Square and is conveniently located, with a Metro station about 400 feet away. It is within easy walking distance to the Plaka district, the Roman Forum, and the ancient Agora. The staff are excellent. Moreover, the hotel serves a substantial American-style breakfast each morning. For those who get tired of Greek food (and the high prices at the restaurants), there's a McDonald's just across the street. An important recommendation: Don't exchange currency at the exchange booths but use the hotel instead. You'll get a better rate. Our only complaint was that the walls are very thin. We stayed in room 404 and were frequently disturbed by the people in the room behind us. If only the hotel would invest in some additional insulation!...MoreHotels.com guest on August-04
