Amerisa Suites
This is a very new hotel, about two years old. The biggest plus is free in-room wired internet access. The beds are a bit thin and not up to US standards. The only A/C control in the room is an on/off switch. You have to call the front desk and have them come by your room to adjust the temp, fan speeds, etc. They only have one remote for the entire complex. The breakfast is barely adequate. One cereal, a few breads, and juice. By far the least selection I've had in Europe. Staff is decent, but not outstanding. About 5-10 minute walk to the center of Fira, but no view to speak of. In addition, the hotel is literally 3 feet off a main road, so there is A LOT of road noise by passing cars, trucks, and bikes. Personally if I go back to Fira, I would look for a different hotel. No bad, but I'm sure there is better. They also do not provide any wash cloths, and the shower is *REALLY* tiny, and very hard to bathe in. Rooms were very clean and well kept, and very high ceilings were nice too....MoreHotels.com guest on September-10
