ROCK HOTEL
The location of the hotel is ideal as one can walk to the old town and to the trolley to access "the Rock." We were given a room with a view of the bay which was lovely and the room itself was clean and of a good size. The bed was too hard for our tastes. In general, we enjoyed our stay . Our main criticism was with the dining staff who were abrupt, nonresponsive except when waved down. We arrived late the first night after an exhausting twelve hour trip from Morocco and made it to the dining room at 9 pm knowing that it closed at 10 pm. The staff at first ignored us, when we persisted in being acknowledged, seated at a table and ordering, they were impatient, didn't bring water when asked, began to clean tables around us and talk together in a corner. Very unprofessional and the cost of the dinner was quite high so that one would expect excellant and gracious service. Also, the complementary breakfast was not of good quality, i.e. the scrambled eggs were watery, the cut fruit old and brown....More

My stay at this otherwise nice hotel was ruined from the beginning. I was travelling with three other senior citizens and since we were on a two week trip we had a lot of baggage BUT, there was no one available to assist us with our baggage both coming and going....More
