Paraiso Del Sol Resort - an Amhsa Marina Resort
This hotel is more of a one star, if being generous maybe 2 but certainly not 3 stars. Overprice for what the spartan rooms have. The sheets and towels are very ragged, thread bare and dingy. Only one sheet is on each bed and two medium towels that would be considered rags are given! I actually had a towel with two holes in it! You could see through the sheets! The matresses have no support and pillows are lumpy. The hallways, room & bathroom are dark. Front desk & customer service is very bad, they do not have any information on the hotel to give you, list of activities, etc. Don't waste your money on this dud....More

Melia Santo Domingo Hotel & Casino
Although I only stayed for two nights and did not require much of the hotel services I felt that everything I needed was available. The staff was very courteous and professional and I felt I made a great choice by going there. Thank you very much for your suggestions. I will be using your services again in the future....More

First, the room had a hole to the outside giving access to rats which were audible screeching and running around high at the roof level. We were changed to another villa which was not as nice as the original room and whose balcony was very dirty and whose bathroom had only a plastic shower curtain. Then, we made reservations at the "Pescador" restaurant: my fish was totally raw (it was not supposed to be); they took my food back and the rest of my family finished their food and I still had not received my food back; the ladies restroom had no hand towels. This was not what I expected at Casa de Campo and does not qualify them for a four star rating....More
