Europaeischer Hof Hotel
This hotel worked very well for me - I needed a clean, good location, well priced, no frills hotel. The location across from the station made it easy to get to from the train from the airport. Not an elegant location but definitely safe and walking distance to major attractions. Room was very small as expected, clean with nice typical German style bedding, a brand new bathroom and ok tv with English speaking stations. Couch and rug a little worn for my taste and room did not have air conditioning but overall was satisfactory. Hotel bills itself as in an 19th century building but I did not see any 19th century charm. Very simple and practical decorations and good working elevator. Hotel is overall very clean. Must complement the hotel staff - they were excellent. They sent up a fan when I mentioned that the room was hot, answered all travel questions with a smile, immediately got me an iron and ironing board when needed. Also, the hotel has one computer but it is free access to internet which worked out well. Certainly would stay again....More

Manhattan Hotel
The Manhattan is conveniently located within walking distance (with suitcases)directly opposite the Frankfurt Train Station - Hauptbahnhof. The neighborhood is like any train station area. There is a lot of construction in the area and the noise starts at 7AM. The hotel is very clean, the room is spotless. No AC but a strong pedestal fan worked well. Rear facing rooms have office buildings only yards away. OK for the weekend but privacy lacks during the week after 8AM. Breakfast buffet is excellent and included. Staff friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend for a one night stopover but the constructon noise may be too much beyond that....More
