Sheraton Rio Hotel & Resort
The Sheraton Hotel in Rio (on Niemeyer) was superb. The rooms were comfortable and the amenities were better than anywhere in Rio because of the mere fact that this hotel is the only one that sits directly on the beach, rather than on the otherside of the main beachfront street. The spa massages in the outside bungalo were beyond words. I would skip the facial however. And the value for the money could not have been better. I will stay here again when I return -- and working through Hotels.com was easy -- not anywhere close to as complicated and restricted by the "fine print" as other such services....More

Premier Copacabana Hotel
Excellent location right across the street from the Siqueira Campos Stn. on Line 1 of the Rio Subway System (www.metrorio.com.br). Also conveniently located to shopping and bus stop. Within walking distance from Copacabana beach. My room on the second floor faced the street so it was quite noisy throughout the night....More

The hotel was clean, well maintained and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast buffet (included in the room price) was excellent. The room was small and the window view of the air shaft left something to be desired....More
