Elbow Beach
The hotel did not have the room that was agreed to. There was no compensation and the room we finally received was not what was bargained for. Evidently the hotel overbooks and this is entirely legal. It doesn't seem fair to me....More

Grotto Bay Beach Hotel
Very helpful and friendly staff. We had a couple of maintenance issues in the room. One of the bathroom lights was burned out. We left a note for the maid sevice. The bulb was changed the same day, but there was glass on the floor. They must have dropped the bulb while changing it. All the glass was not picked up, I stepped on a piece with my bare foot. It was cuved piece of glass and the sharp side of it was facing down. I did not get cut, but I called the front desk saying that there was glass on the floor. They said it would be taken care of and it was, the next day. Also had a problem with the toilet. It was very loose. We reported it to the front desk. The next day the front office called us to tell us it was being taken care of. Two days later we had a message on the phone from the front desk. It asked if it was OK for maintenance to come and look at the toilet. I called back when we got back to the room that evening.The sent a man over, Troy was his name. He is a very friendly person.I told him that I smelled a sewer smell for the first time that morning. I also told him that I could hear the water in the pipe just like there was no toilet in place. He pulled up the toilet to find that the flange that the toilet bolts to was broken. He said that a plumber would have to come the next day. So we had to move uor room. The Hotel did give a credit on our account....More
