    Villa Rotana - Dubai
I chose Villa Rotana for a two-week business trip because it was convenient to the World Trade Center and the various tech-cities (Internet City, Media City, etc) and it was less horridly expensive than other more tourist-y hotels on the beach or in Old Dubai. This is a great deal for business trips; it was about 15 minutes to all the major financial centers/WTC (except during the height of rush hour, then good luck getting anywhere from anywhere else quickly!) My studio suite overlooked the back parking lot (not a very scenic view) but was quiet; no traffic noise from Shaykh Zayeed Road or from construction along the strip. My room was always spotlessly cleaned, and the breakfast and lunch buffets are well-stocked with prompt service. Because this is a newer hotel, I had to explain where it was a couple of times -- tell your driver it's just after the first interchange (aka Defense Roundabout) across from the Burj al-Dubai; take the first right exit and double back about 400 yards. Don't let them c...More
