Loved it, loved them. Just lovely and relaxing and old-world elegant. If you're there on a Saturday, go out to the main street in Otrobanda and get some tasty food from the guy with the grill (be prepared to wait). Only suggestion would be for the staff to change the shower liner but that is small potatoes considering how delightful everything was. Oh yes, we had room 210 - very beautiful....More

Royal Palm Beach Resort
The apartment was beautiful and very recently remodeled with lovely counter tops, linens, tile in the bathroom and cabinets. It was very clean, had a wonderful location, and all of the guests seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves. The rooms were very spacious and we had a family of four adults and one child there and never felt cramped or claustrophobic in our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. There were a few couples but mostly families with children. I would strongly recommend this site for families as the pool is designed so that even little kids can get in without assistance. The balconies overlooking the pool and bay were great, especially when all the doors were opened to the master bedroom and the living room. The only area of improvement here would be more chairs on the balcony. The kitchen was well appointed but could have had more cleaning supplies and the lights were really hard on the eyes. Overall, the staff was really friendly and helpful with the exception of the girl who gave out towels who made me feel like she was issuing me state secrets. Although they were performing maintenance on the building while we were there, a few problems did exist. There were regular leaks in the closets, one of the toilets backed up, one of the elevators was broken and apparently had been out of service for months and the paint was peeling on some of the outside units. I would definitely stay at Royal Palms again as it exceeded my expectations and was a great value for the money, particularly for families with kids....More
