Good room and location for the money

Execellent location - two blocks from the Tokyo train station and two blocks from Ginza district. Hotel was clean, pleasant staff, decent sized single room, convenience store in the hotel lobby - limousine bus to airport had pick up at hotel. Would definitly consider staying here again if I visit Tokyo.

Convenient Location; Fancier Than We Expected

As soon as we arrived at the Yaesu Fujiya hotel, which is within easy walking distance of the Tokyo JR Station (even with luggage!) bellhops whisked our bags out of our hands. Check-in took about three seconds, and then we were escorted to our room. Our room was a decent size for Japan and the bathroom larger than most. We had a good-sized bed (felt like queen), TV, an internet port, a closet, and a desk--everything we needed. The bellhops asked if we had any questions and even provided us with a map of the neighborhood. The room was a little shabby compared to the quality of the hotel (stains on carpet, old furniture), so I get the feeling that we had one of the oldest, non-renovated rooms, which is appropriate for what we paid to stay at such a nice hotel. There is a 7-Eleven convenience store accessible from the lobby, handy for drinks and snacks. We didn't try the restaurants at the hotel. We enjoyed walking around the tony Ginza neighborhood after dinner. In the morning they loaded our bags into the airport bus for us, and even provided an umbrella for the walk from the lobby to the bus door.
