    Great location even in the off season. Rooms are very cosy. Spa facilities are awesome. The only downside was the food. Both breakfast and dinner at the brasserie were forgettable and a disappointment considering the standard of the other services.

Location. Situated directly on the Hohe Düne five star marina, Yachthafenresidenz Hohe Duene has its own private beach and overlooks the Baltic Sea. Rostock Laage Airport is 42 kilometres away and takes around 30 minutes to reach by car.

Hotel Features. The hotel has a full-service health spa spread over three floors including an indoor pool with an open fire, hot tub and a separate children's pool. There are also saunas, steam rooms, massage and beauty treatment rooms and a gym. Multilingual staff can arrange airport transport and give tour advice; valet parking is available for those arriving by car (surcharge).

Yachthafenresidenz Hohe Duene has five bars and six restaurants, including Brasserie, serving French buffet and à la carte dishes, the restaurant Newport Fish situated next to the harbour, and Da Mario, an Italian Trattoria-style restaurant serving antipasto, pizza and pasta.

The adjacent Hohe Düne five star marina features 750 berths and services including a sailing school, charters and yacht dealers. The hotel's baby playroom caters for babies and children up to three years of age, and an evening babysitting service is available at extra cost. The sailing boat-themed children's area keeps three to six year-olds entertained (including children up to 12 years in German school holidays) with a soft-play climbing area, cinema and theatre. The Youth Lounge caters for 13 to 16 year-olds and is open from 8 to 10 PM during German school holidays.

Guestrooms. The 368 air- conditioned guestrooms and suites are individually decorated in a contemporary style and have balconies or terraces with seating areas facing south to the park. Amenities include cable television with premium channels, DVD players, direct-dial phones, high-speed Internet connections, coffee and tea-making facilities, and minibars. Marble bathrooms have double sinks, bathrobes, slippers and hair dryers.
