    I know why - it's the price. It's lower than the Hyatt or the Sheridan, which are the other two similar options downtown. The room was fine, but I was upset there was no self-parking, only valet parking at $23 per night. The last time I was at the Wyndham there was self-parking. The rooms were nice though, and the location good.

Location. The Wyndham Phoenix - Downtown is located two blocks from the Orpheum Theatre in the Copper Square area of Phoenix, Ariz. The Phoenix Convention Center and Symphony Hall are three blocks away, while US Airways Center stands four blocks from the hotel.

Hotel Features. The hotel's Marston's Café offers fine-dining atmosphere and prepares American and regional specialties. Starbucks serves coffee drinks and pastries. The stylish Icon Lounge features a jukebox and televised sporting events, and serves cocktails and appetizers. The business center houses three computer stations and offers photocopy and print services. A total of 60,000 square feet of function space accommodates events. An expansive 5th-floor deck provides sunning areas around a heated outdoor pool. A complimentary fitness center contains cardiovascular and weight-training equipment, free weights and a sauna. Youngbloods hair salon offers beauty treatments.

Guestrooms. This 19-story hotel offers 532 guestrooms with pale-wood furnishings and neutral color schemes. Beds feature plush-top mattresses and are draped beneath 300-thread count sheets and down comforters. Rooms include Herman Miller chairs. Bathrooms contain earth-tone granite vanities.
