Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 143Nice hotel
Spacious room, quiet street, friendly personnel. The tables in the breakfast room looked old and worn. I have seen better breakfasts in other similar hotels.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 143Excellent accommodations
This was a very nice hotel with excellent staff and service and exceptionally clean. They even had a wonderful free breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast, muffins, home-made waffles danish, and coffee and juice, not just the usual bagels and pastries you get in other hotels. The only thing I did not like was that the tub was very slippery and they did not have a non-slip mat available. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 143Nice for the price
Had a nice stay there, but there were a few issues that were bothersome. First, although the fitness room had a weight machine it was not working properly and I reported this as such and hopefully it has now been fixed. Secondly, if you plan on going to bed before midnight then be sure you are far away from the restaurant. We were on the 5th floor and could clearly hear the loud music from the restaurant until at least midnight every night (including weekdays). Luckily we are night owls and were up anyway. As mentioned in other posts there is poor cell phone service in the hotel, but they do give you free long distance from the hotel phone while you are there. The breakfast buffet was nice, but demand often exceeded supply and you had to move quickly to get yogurt or pastries. The belgian waffle machine is great though and I enjoyed waffles every day! Location is great, and the staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 143Great Hotel
First of all I would like to point out that this was our first time going to NYC, and finding a hotel can be very confusing. After reading the reviews on this hotel, we decided it had everything we were looking for. The hotel staff was super nice always greeted you with a smile. It had a free breakfast buffet also, which was a big plus (eggs, waffles, toast, sausage, bagels, cereal, fruit, danishes, & lots of different beverage choices). A Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts are also nearby. We had a room with a king bed and although the rooms are small we never felt cramped or uncomfortable. The bed was very comfortable, everything was very clean and it had a small fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. The hotel also has free internet access, and also has 2 computers with printers in their business center which both have free internet also, this was great as we didn't have to lug our laptop on the trip with us. The hotel is located 1 or 2 short blocks to Penn Station and MSG, we took the train into Penn Station so we just walked right to our hotel with our luggage. A subway stop is also the next block over which would take you right to Times Square which is about 7 blocks away. If you choose not to use the subway, it is about a 10min. walk to times square, but it is a nice walk with lots of shops and such along the way. The hotel is also located on a quiet side street, so it was not noisy whatsoever. All in all we were completely satisfied with our choice of hotel and location and will definitly be back in the future.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 143Good value
Hotel was conveniently located in the Garment District. One block from Macy's and one and half blocks from the Empire State Building. Subway was only half a block away, which we used to visit WTC memorial and Battery Park (Where you board a ferry for the Statue of Liberty). Only complaint was a toilet handle that was starting to fail that needed replacement. I had one room with our sons (Streetside) and my wife had another with our daughters (Back of hotel). Streetside room did experience street noise (including garbage trucks) and rear room experienced loud music on Thursday and Friday night coming from Hotel lounge. Other than that, hotel stay was very good.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 143Outstanding Hotel
I have been to NYC quite a few times now, and I have stayed at a different hotel everytime because I have never been quite satisfied. But now I have found a hotel I will use EVERYTIME I come back to visit. This hotel has much more room than most NYC hotels...it is very clean...has a free in room safe...an excellent "hot" free breakfast...discounted parking that is a good rate for the location...all subways are very close...and great hotel location...it is a great value!!!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 13 of 143Excellent accommodations, excellent staff
This is probably the finest value for a dollar anywhere to be found. The hotel is virtually brand new in an area about 4 blocks from Times Square. The staff is thorough, fast and extremely polite. The quality of appointments in the rooms, bathrooms, all hallways and lobby was far beyond our expectations. The continental breakfast each morning was like a continental feast. On my vacation I stayed at 6 different hotels, and this one exceeded all other hands down.

The service was fantastic and the staff was very accommodating. The major plus was the breakfast: actual fresh fruit, egg and waffle

This is a very nice, well run small hotel in a non-descript but nicely located neighborhood in midtown. (e.g., two blocks from Madison Square Garden.) The room was well appointed and very clean. The staff is friendly and very attentive. Sincerely and whole heartedly recommend.
